Helicopter (With Engine Powered Propellers!)

Author: AAK  |  Category: Toys

Hello! My post today is on a Helicopter I built that uses a engine to move its propellers. The kit I used is a kit that uses screw drivers, screws, bolts and more. I also built a crane, quad and a smaller helicopter. But I forgot to take pics of them, so I can’t show them to you until I build them again.

And, the guy that is made out of magnets, is the pilot for the Heli.

One of my favorite Proverbs

Author: AAK  |  Category: Biblos

I love this proverb, for it shows us to listen to our fathers and mothers, and to seek wisdom and understanding.

Proverbs 4

Solomon’s Personal Plea

Listen, my sons, to a father’s instruction; pay attention and gain understanding. I gave you sound learning, so do not forsake my teaching. When I was a boy in my father’s house, still tender, and an only child of my mother, he taught me and said, “Lay hold of my words with all your heart; keep my commands and you will live. Get wisdom, get understanding; do not forget my words or swerve from them. Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you. Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding. Esteem her, and she will exalt you; embrace her, and she will honor you. She will set a garland of grace on your head and present you with a crown of splendor.”

Listen, my son, accept what I say, and the years of your life will be many. I guide you in the way of wisdom and lead you along straight paths. When you walk, your steps will mot be hampered; when you run, you will not stumble. Hold on to instruction, do not let it go; guard it will, for it is your life. Do not set foot on the path of the wicked or walk in the way of evil men. Avoid it, do not travel on it; turn from it and go on your way. For they cannot sleep till they do evil; they are robbed of slumber till they make someone fall. They eat the bread of wickedness and drink the wine of violence.

The path of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, shining ever brighter till the full light of day. But the way of the wicked is like deep darkness; they do not know what makes them stumble. My son, pay attention to what I say; listen closely to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to a man’s whole body. Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life. Put away perversity from your mouth; keep corrupt talk far from your lips. Let your eyes look straight ahead, fix your gaze directly before you. Make level paths for your feet and take only ways that are firm. Do not swerve to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.

Another Psalm: About God’s wrath against evil…

Psalm 76

For the the director of music. With stringed instruments. A psalm of Asaph. A song.

In Judah God is known; his name is great in Israel. His tent is in Salem, his dwelling place in Zion There he broke the flashing arrows, the shields and the swords, the weapons of war.

You are resplendent with light, more majestic than moutains rich with game. Valiant me lie plundered, they sleep their last sleep; not one of the warriors can lift his hands. At your rebuke, O God of Jacob, both horse and chariot lie still. You alone are to be feared. Who can stand before you when you are angry? From heaven you pronounced judgment, and the land feared and was quiet when you, O God, rose up to judge, to save all the afflicted of the land. Surely your wrath against men brings you praise, and the survivors of your wrath are restrained.

Make vows to the Lord your God and fulfill them; let all the neighboring lands bring gifts to the One to be feared. He breaks the spirit of rulers; he is feared by the kings of the earth.

A Psalm of Gods Power

Author: AAK  |  Category: Biblos

I love this psalm, for it tells us how powerful He is and that He will train us for battle.

Psalm 144:

Prayer for Gods Power

Praise be to the Lord my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle. He is my loving God and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield, in whom I take refuge, who subdues peoples under me. O Lord, what is man that you care for him, the son of man that you think of him? Man is like a breath; his days are like a fleeting shadow. Part your heavens, O Lord, and come down; touch the mountains, so that they smoke. Send forth lighting and scatter the enemies; shoot your arrows and rout them. Reach down your hand from on high; deliver me and rescue me from the mighty waters, from the hands of foreigners whose mouths are full of lies, whose right hands are deceitful. I will sing a new song to you, O God; on the ten-stringed lyre I will make music for you, to the One who gives victory to kings, who delivers his servant David from the deadly sword. Deliver me and rescue me from the hands of foreigners whose mouths are full of lies, whose right hands are deceitful. Then our sons in their youth will be like well-nurtured plants, and our daughters will be like pillars carved to adorn a palace. Our barns will be filled with every kind of provision. Our sheep will increase by thousands, by tens of thousands in our fields; our oxen will draw heavy loads, There will be no breaching of walls, no going into captivity, no cry of distress in our streets. Blessed are the people of whom this is true; blessed are the people whose God is the Lord.

Summary on “John Foxe”

Author: AAK  |  Category: History

Hi everyone, just recently I did a  summary on John Foxe who wrote his famous “Acts and Monuments“. ;)

John Foxe

(Birth,) Education & Conversion

John Knox was born at Boston, Lincolnshire, England, in 1517, during the same year that Luther began the work of the Reformation in Germany. When he was 17, he entered Brasenose College, Oxford, where he studied hard. And when he graduated, he had a bachelor’s degree in 1537, then he studied at Magdalen College, where he earned a Masters degree in 1543.

Devotion to the Roman Catholic Church

When he became a student, he was a devout Roman Catholic and he believed that his soul was safe because of his diligent obedience of the church’s rules. He lived a strict and moral life, confessed his sins to the priest and did penance. He gave to the poor and reverenced God and his saints.

His Conversion (or, Change of Belief)

The Lord Jesus, however is much more stronger than the most religious sinner. Foxe then began to read the Bible because he was curious. To his surprise, he descovered that it was not the Protestants, that were the problem, but the Roman Catholics who were in error. He often walked alone in the garden in the middle of the night, thinking and praying.

This aroused the suspicion of some clergy of the Roman Catholic Church, and was he was questioned. By that time, he was converted and was convinced that the Scripture was correct.

His Work

The most important thing about him was the famous book that he wrote, Acts and Monuments, later known as Foxe’s, Book of Martyrs. A martyr, is some one who is killed because of their faith, and Foxe told many of their stories in his book. The first edition was written in Latin and was published in 1563.

His Death

John Foxe died on April 18, 1587 and was buried at St. Giles’s Church. He left behind a legacy of being one of the most famous authors and prominent members of the Elizabethan church. Perhaps, no other book had such a great impact on the Reformation as Foxe’s Acts and Monuments.
